FAQ

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a treatment that uses a medical scalpel to gently exfoliate the outer layer of dead skin cells and remove fine facial hair commonly known as “peach fuzz”, technically called “vellus” hair. This procedure will give your skin a more radiant appearance. Following the treatment, makeup application is smoother and other skincare products are able to penetrate deeper in turn making hem more effective.
The ideal candidate for Dermaplaning has aging, dry, rough, or uneven skin tone. Dermaplaning can also help reduce the appearance of shallow acne scars, fine lines and superficial hyperpigmentation.
No. There are different types of hair that grow on the body; vellus hair and terminal hair. Vellus hair is found on most areas of the body except palms, soles, lips and genital areas, whereas terminal hairs are found on the scalp, underarms and pubic region. The soft and fine vellus hair grows back at the same rate and texture.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a skin treatment procedure that involves an electric skin-needling device. The device contains 12 very fine needles. It is used during micro-needling procedures to break down old scar tissue and push skin cell generation. Cell production leads to the creation of new layers of elastin and collagen fiber and leads to improved blood flow in the skin.
Some of the conditions that medical microneedling is known to improve include: mild to moderate acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, skin texture and pore size, and stretch marks
It begins with cleansing the skin and using a serum (vit c/hylauranic acid) so the pen can glide better whilst hydrating the skin. A small pen with 12 tiny needles is used to create tiny wounds in the skin. The speed and adjustability of the needles allows for more effective piercing and absorption of skin products. Vitamin-C serium or Hyalurnoic acid is used after the procedure to hydrate, heal and protect the skin.

Brow lamination

Brow lamination is the latest trend. The treatment reworks and tints your natural brow hairs to create a fuller shape. This treatment will help create a full brow shape. It’s all about natural, fluffy looking brow. Eyebrows that do not have symmetry: where the hairs follow a different pattern will benefit.
The process involves straightening the brow hairs using a chemical solution so that they all stand in the desired direction. This will give you a full, fluffy brow shape that can last up to eight weeks.
For 24 hours you need to keep your brows dry, this is very important. After the 24 hours when you get them wet you can then shape them with your mascara wand you are given to the desired look. You can buy a nourishing serum to use on the brows post-treatment. This ensures the brow hairs stay hydrated. Aside from this, there are various natural remedies you can use on the brows to keep them healthy and soft, such as castor oil which helps boost growth: simply apply a coating of castor oil using a cotton bud before your sleep.
